Jacksonville, it’s a great week to look up. ✨
The Orionid Meteor Shower is back, made from tiny pieces of Halley’s Comet lighting up our night sky.
You could see up to 20 meteors an hour, and with a new moon on October 21, the view should be especially clear.
The best time to watch is after 1 a.m. until sunrise — perfect for night owls or anyone who already gave up on early mornings. 😅
Find a quiet, dark spot, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and face south.
It’s a peaceful, free way to soak up fall’s best nights — no traffic, no crowds, just stars.

👻 Dive Into the Darkness: 13th Floor Haunted House (Regency)
If you’re in the Halloween spirit (or want to get there), don’t sleep on 13th Floor Haunted House in Jacksonville. It’s one of the bigger haunted attractions in town, with plenty of frights, extras, and ways to skip long lines. USA Today News has claimed it to be one of the “Top 5 Most Terrifying Haunted Houses in the USA!” The reviews speak for themselves- check it out here!
